This is off topic but this was the only operational topic from the drop-down!
 

Are used photo shopped for 30 years but affinity paid is just different enough that I cannot make any headway using features that I’m used to having in Photoshop that seem real simple to me such as making a select rectangle and flooding it with white over a black background. 
 

I would be willing to pay for

To fill a selection you should use the flood fill tool from the tools panel for this.
