Grüße Stefan Whatever I try, the line spacing is neither previewed nor applied. It simply does not change at all. This is true for both newly created text styles and duplicated ones. The changes are displayed at the bottom of the style settings, but nothing changes. Am I doing something wrong here or is this a bug? Greetings Stefan Quote

StefanGold Posted June 11, 2023 Author Posted June 11, 2023 Im Anhang ist die Datei mit dem Problem. Sicher ist das nur eine Einstellung, aber welche? Attached is the file with the problem. Sure it's just a setting, but which one? Thanks Stefan TEST.afpub walt.farrell 1 Quote

You have applied a leading override via the Character Panel. Select all the text and set the Leading override to Auto. StefanGold Posted June 11, 2023 Author Posted June 11, 2023 This file was imported from Indesign 5.5 (.idml), i changed nothing myself Thank you Stefan Quote

Select all the text and set the Leading override to Auto. Unbelievable, i did not find it! The help says: Leading Override—applies local override to selected text to increase the leading with regard to the paragraph’s leading. But, there is no option to set off Quote
StefanGold Posted June 11, 2023 Author Posted June 11, 2023 Text styles are just awful to use. After importing a file from Indesign, with 64 individual pages, it's a card set, apparently all the texts have a "leading override" at line spacing and I can't adjust the text styles because the line spacing is overridden. What? It gets worse, I can't set them to "Auto" for all text fields. It gets worse. If I do it manually and then select a different text style, "Leading override" has a value set at the line spacing again.... and so I've been spinning in circles for 2 hours. Who came up with this? Just terrible. I'm so tired of Publisher, I can't tell anyone. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version) Quote

StefanGold Posted June 11, 2023 Author Posted June 11, 2023 Thank you, i found it, but read my previous comment on this please.... it jumps back to whatever, as far as i change the text style on the selected text And i have to do this for all individual 64 pages.... Luckily, i have my old Mac with Indesign and i will wait for Publisher v3 or v4 🤐 Quote
walt.farrell Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 Where are you changing it? Are you editing a Text Style, or making changes via the Character panel. When importing from Indesign, all paragraph styles unfortunately did NOT have this value set to "Auto". You have to know that, or you have to find that out first. This should be corrected without fail, surely many other users will stumble over this. For all who have helped here, many thanks! Stefan Quote
