Stroke width not on art board just layers - issue Mac ADv2.1

Hello Gang, 

I came across an issue recently on two different projects where the stroke width would not increase size but in the layers panel it shows the change. In one instance of trouble shooting, I copied the layer and opened a new file and paste the layer items in and it worked fine, but when I went back to the original i could not make the change in width and the problem was still present. 2nd method was to save the file and re open it and when opened the stroke width worked on the file that had the stroke issue, Again this has replicated on two different occasion for now the fix is to save and reopen the file and it works but should I? Can you please look into this, it may be an isolated issue but I did found a discussion about something similar in v1 and i'm on 2.1, Mac Intel. I'm a newbie to design, trying to create a simple logo.

I just had the same issue using Affinity Designer 2.2.1 on MacBook Pro M1 Pro Monterey 12.3. I was simply selecting circles and trying to increase the stroke width with the slider. The stroke was increasing in the layers but not actually on my Artboard. I thought I was doing something wrong....

I pulled out my iPad opened a new design and was able to increase stroke width with no problem.

On my desktop I ended up saving the design, closing it, the reopening it. I was then able to increase the stroke width of the circles with the same method I was attempting before.

 

Just purchased the license yesterday to give a smaller company a shot (over choosing Adobe Creative Cloud). Hoping this bug isn't representative of the quality of the product.
