Pacifity Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 environment: macOS 13.4 In V1 Photo, the style for vector shapes had a brush option, but it is gone in V2 Photo. I can get the effect I want by editing in V2 Designer and then editing in Photo. (The brush option is in the V2 Designer style list.) My question is did some install error in V2Photo go awry and knock the brush option off the list for line styles? OR is the new correct way is to use Photo AND Designer to get brush styles on vector objects? I love the Affinity Suite and the design behind it. I just wanted to know if V2 Photo installed correctly. Thanks for your time and answer. Below is a screen grab of the option list on V2 Photo. Quote
walt.farrell Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 @Pacifity: The Textured Stroke option is only for vector brushes, and thus it's only usable in the Designer Persona. This has always been true. And there have been complaints and confusion about it being available, but not usable, in Photo. Perhaps it was removed to address those complaints/confusion? Pacifity Posted June 8, 2023 Author Posted June 8, 2023 I stand corrected. I guess I was using the Design Persona in V1 and didn't remember that detail. Makes sense. thx. Quote

walt.farrell Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 It is interesting, though, that you don't have that Textured Line Style icon on macOS when in the Photo Persona, as it's still there on Windows. Still non-functional and worthless, but present nonetheless.
