Dimmo Posted June 7, 2023 Posted June 7, 2023 I have notice a problem with placing DOCX tables, when placing a table with merged cells (as displayed on the left of page) the first column will be way to wide it appears that the first column is the width of the whole table, the table displayed is 60mm wide in MS Word and the first column here is 60mm wide, The table displayed on the right of page is without the merged cells and is the right width. Staff Lee D Posted June 8, 2023 Staff Posted June 8, 2023 @Dimmo Do you have a copy of the .docx file so I may test. I know that we don't replicate the layout code from Word, which is by design, so this may be related to that. Quote
Dimmo Posted June 8, 2023 Author Posted June 8, 2023 Hi Lee, have attached the 2 tables from Word but will happen with any table that has merged cells. Also doesn't honour borders, these file don't have borders but Publisher puts them in. Team List Table.docx Team List Table no headers.docx Quote
Dimmo Posted July 30, 2023 Author Posted July 30, 2023 @Lee D Hi Lee has been a couple of months since I uploaded table samples, any ideas if anything can be done to fix this problem with merged cells Quote

Staff Lee D Posted June 18, 2024 Staff Posted June 18, 2024 @Dimmo Sorry for the delay, it's logged with the developers to investigate further. We also had an issue similar to this logged with regards to not replicating Words layout code, this was closed as by design. It may also relate to an issue we have logged with Excel tables that have merged cells but that does cause the app to crash. Quote
Staff Affinity Info Bot Posted October 22, 2024 Staff Posted October 22, 2024 The issue "DOCX file with a table with merged cell doesn't import correctly." (REF: AF-3517) has been fixed by the developers in the latest beta build (2.6.0.2805). The fix is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
