Raw export to jpg missing original EXIF "date shot" info

Recommended Posts

As per the topic title i'm having issues when exporting to jpg from a developed raw file.  I loose the original date shot from the exif data.

This in itself is a workflow nightmare when you have a copious amount of RAW files to get through and have them display in date order correctly.

I could go through and edit the exported jpg with an exif editor but this is seriously the last option i would turn to.

Any ideas are welcome.

Hi,

I have also encountered the same problem. When can we have this fixed?

So far, I am just using a limited version of the SW, as an extension to Photos App on Mac, as it is very inconvenient to lose exif datas while developing from RAW to JPEG using the Affinity App itself.

I hope we can have a solution for this ASAP.  :(

emersonaguilartan,

Welcome to the Affinity forums :)

I do not think that it has been fixed in the latest beta  but you are welcome to try it. If not, I will bump the database issue for this request.

So I didn't notice that there was an update rolled out (1.5). I have edited some RAW files and developed. Still noticed that the EXIF files aren't retained. I was expecting that it was solved the last update since this topic was touched for more than a year now.

However, I have noticed that once the developed photo was imported to the Photos app, the date is still there. It just doesn't show when the JPEG file is saved on the desktop (I assume this applies to any folder in my Mac). I'll try to save it to a disk and view the file with a windows PC to determine whether the problem is with my Mac, or Affinity's.

Please solve this problem. I love the SW, I hate how it deals with my developed images' EXIFs.
