Affinity suite default folder problem on start-up.

The problem started originally in Publisher only and I could find no reason or setting to change behaviour.
As it became annoying I uninstalled all three (Publisher, Designer and Photo) and cleaned out all traces I could locate in the system files.
In case of a glitch in my software I download all software freshly, before reinstalling the full suite.

The problem did not disappear and is now evident in all three programs every time they are RESTARTED:

AF Publisher:

• crtl+O  opens Document folder, not last folder opened.
• crtl+shift+alt+S (export) defaults to Document folder, not last used
• click Image Place tool icon, opens system 32 folder, from then on it defaults to last folder opened.

 

AF Designer:

• crtl+O  opens System 32 folder, not the last folder used
• Image Place tool - defaults to system 32 folder, then ok after navigating to correct folder
• crtl+shift+alt+S (export) defaults to Document folder, not last used

 

AF Photo:

• Crtl O  opens system 32 folder, then ok after navigating to correct folder
• If you open a Recent image first and later use crtl-O to open another image the system 32 is opened.
• crtl+shift+alt+S (export) defaults to Document folder, not the last used folder.

Windows 10 Home version 22H2 64bit

I hope these details reach the right people as I should like the behaviour corrected or at least a guide to which settings could be the cause. There are no problems with other software I use.

9/5/2023 Update:
Have reinstalled using msix files. This made no difference.
Is this being reviewed by experienced Serif staff so some logical explanations may be forthcoming?

Are you using the applications installed by the MSIX or EXE installers?

I am using .exe files download from my account with Serif. I always purchase software directly from them.
