lphilpot Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 I've found a number of posts asking for this in general back as far as 2015, but with no apparent resolution. I know I can assign a shortcut to hide a layer and a different one to show a layer, but that's kind of clumsy. Is there a way (or a workaround) to simply toggle layer visibility with the keyboard, rather than having to mouse/pen-navigate to the layer stack and click? Seems like it should be pretty straightforward to implement, really. Thanks. firstdefence Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 I have show/hide layer set to 'U' and 'Y' respectively, 'Y' is normally assigned to the Transparency tool, I just change that to 'R' Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... lphilpot Posted June 1, 2023 Author Posted June 1, 2023 That works, although it's still two keys. Thanks. Juhani Posted June 16, 2024 Posted June 16, 2024 I second that. Please allow to use the same keyboard shorcut to toggle between two mutually exclusive commands! Or alternatively, make the command a toggle itself. This works very well both in Photoshop and Pixelmator Pro. lphilpot 1 Quote Affinity 2.6.0 Beta | macOS Sequoia 15.2 | MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro/16GB (2021) | XPPen Artist Pro 16 (Gen 2)
Yuli Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 I asked for the same feature, along with other keyboard improvements. If anyone else show some interest maybe the devs will notice it, it's such an easy feature to implement, I hope they'll consider it: Quote
