amoraleite Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 Hello guys! Guys, another crucial feature. And on the same topic as my previous post. Every image editor needs to have this. When I import an image via "place image" or when I drag an image to the canvas, the image interpolation control is extremely necessary. Without this control I cannot guarantee pixel accuracy. I start with a question, is there any way to import, scale and reduce the image with interpolation control? nearest neighbor, bilinear interpolation, or bicubic interpolation. thank you Quote

amoraleite Posted May 31, 2023 Author Posted May 31, 2023 @Pšenda no, that's not it! What you've shown is interpolation control, but it's for the entire document. They call this in Affinity Resample. When we work with image editing we have different layers, and you need to have interpolation control of each layer. In my another post I ask for this but I discovery that this feature Affinity don't have. Here: In other words, this option you showed has to be present in other ways in the application. This is pretty basic. When I scale a layer, or drag an image into canvas. But thanks for your effort. Quote
Pšenda Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 You write "is there any way to import, scale and reduce the image with interpolation control?" So I would import/open the image, resize it to the desired value with the Resample setting, and then use the resized/interpolated image in the target document. amoraleite Posted May 31, 2023 Author Posted May 31, 2023 @Pšenda Funny. This workaround of yours reminds me of when I was working with Adobe Photoshop 1 or 2 in the 90's. What I notice is that you are more willing to “help” than a coherent answer. I'm new here, but I'm pretty old in the industry. I just bought the whole package of the program, and I'm missing basic things, so I asked here, I thought maybe it could be something hidden, but it's not. It just doesn't have it yet. again thanks.
