HerrBill Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 When I open affinity Photo I’m prompted to download 2.1 MSIX which is not suitable for loading into my program files. Can anybody point me to the program compatible version. Quote
Alfred Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 If you can’t use the MSIX version on your system, download and run the EXE installer via the link on the following page: https://store.serif.com/update/windows/photo/2 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)
walt.farrell Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 What is the prompt that you're getting? If it has: An Install button, then you are already running the MSIX version. A Download button, you are running the EXE/MSI version. But with this version, 2.0.4 has a bug that may sometimes download the MSIX rather than taking you to the proper download page so you can choose the one you want. If that happens, try canceling the download, and using Help > Check for Updates, which may avoid the bug. You can then choose the EXE version from the download page. (The bug is fixed in 2.1, so once you've updated you should not have this problem the next time.) HerrBill Posted May 29, 2023 Author Posted May 29, 2023 I have just downloaded the EXE version and it appears working ok with FastStone viewer. Thanks for your prompt assistance. Alfred 1 Quote
