Good Day Affinity Forums!

 

We are an artists based in Philippines.

 

Currently, we are using Affinity Photo as editing program in our projects. We are having so much fun in exploring your software and we are glad to try it out. Unfortunately, we encountered some minor issues and we hope you could help us to fix it and if you could possibly give us solutions.

 

Please see below the list of our questions:

 

• Is there a certain way that we can view pantone colors by code?
•  Are there certain limitations in layered files? We encountered problems in saving big files with multiple layers.
• l Are there other masking process that can let us edit layered files within a masked layer?  
• We’ve encountered compatibility issue when opening a converted Adobe files, some layers are not visible when opened in Affinity Photo. Is there a work-around wherein we can completely load the Adobe files missing layers?
• Is there an option where we can drag layers from different file to another instead of using copy-paste button?

Hello @hopiamainipopcorn and welcome to the forum.

Before giving you some answers I want to recommend that you split up so many questions in seperat posts. This will be more usefull for future readers to find the same answers.

Regarding viewing colors in a different way: in the swatches panel there is a little 'hamburger menu' at the top right (three horizontal lines). Look there for 'Appearance > Show as List'. That should do, I hope.

It is hard to give you an answer to that question without knowing what the issue is. What kind of layers are not visible? Can you propabely provide a sample file that does not work?

You simply drag and drop layers between Affinity apps. Even from one file within APh to another open file. Just try it.
You also can drag image files from Finder or Explorer into Affinity apps.
