nicanorrr Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 In Publisher, you can only change the Page Box setting of resources once it is placed. By default it is Trim Box. It is not feasible to individually change each content's setting when using batch importing like Data Merge because it's just too many. Can you put a setting that changes the default setting of newly imported resources such as the Bleed Box? It would be very helpful in scenarios where you are either using Data Merge, or you are placing a lot of content in one go. Because with the current options, after importing you'd have to go to each individual placed content to change the Page Box which is not feasible if you are placing lots and lots of content (especially if using Data Merge). The way I imagine it being implemented is when you select the "Place Tool", the default Page Box setting is shown in the Context Toolbar. This setting will be used for all placed content whether it be using the Place Tool, dragging from a folder, or Data Merge. Thank you Quote
Marvin-USA-Ohio Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 I seem to have lost the drop down menu allowing me to change trim to crop, bleed, etc. Has it been Moved or RE moved? Cannot show crop marks on a placed pdf that itself has crops. Quote
shallum802 Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 When printing multiple imported PDF files in one page (e.g. name tags or labels), I'd like to automate the process of changing the page box from Trim Box to Media Box for all embedded documents so I can add bleed for printing. Currently, I manually change the page box for each individual PDF file that is placed in the page. I've attempted using macros, but Publisher sometimes doesn't allow me to select the other layers. mareksy Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 I find the same problem in Affinity Photo 2.5.3. I open eps logo and without any option window it is opened in trim box. It is not fine while the circle has cutted one or two pixels because of trim. Quote

shallum802 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 If the PDF file is placed inside a Picture Frame, you'll need to select the PDF layer rather than the Picture Frame. Then, select the Move Tool to display the context toolbar, where you can find the dropdown arrow to modify the Page Box settings. Hope this helps. Quote
