When I open Affinity 2.0.4, I get a message saying there is an update and asking if I want to install it.  When I click on update, I simply get a message saying Error! The installation failed.  Please try again.  The update went through without a hitch on my Imac.  I am now trying to update on my Windows 11 device.  What's the problem?

Hi @jonathancj and welcome to the forums.

I'm not a Windows user but the easiest workaround is probably to install the update directly from the serif website. Go to serif.com, click the profile icon in the upper right and sign in, and then go to Downloads. You should be able to download and install the update from there.

Good luck
