aleale1 Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 The topic title itself depicts a problem. You can see these lines, trying different zoom levels, in attached files. Unwanted Line Bug.afpub Unwanted Line Bug.pdf Quote

I just tried a pixel perfect workflow, previously recommended by you (on April 4), but it did not resolve the issue. Quote
NotMyFault Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 Hmm. In your file document units are mm. If you switch to px you see that all layers have fractional positions / sizes. for pixel perfect workflow, you need to use px as units, and inspect transform panel for integer positions. as soon as you use only integer position and sizes, the unwanted lines will vanish. NotMyFault Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 If you switch to pixel view mode, or zoom to multiples of 100%, the line is gone. (Between lower rectangles). The thin line visible at certain zoom levels is a rendering artifact. it will always stay 1 display pixel wide no matter what zoom level you use. In pixel view mode or exported as bitmap format no line will be visible. Even "Rasterize Everything" option does no good. So, this is definitely a bug, which needs to be solved by Affinity engineers. Quote
NotMyFault Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 Did you export and check with another PDF reader if there are lines visible? NotMyFault Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 On iPad, preview and books show the same issue as Publisher (for an exported PDF). A thin line but only when zoomed out.
