spiderpod7d
Hi Guys. I am using a MacPro dual monitor setup running Monterey 12.3 and Affinity Photo 2.1. I reported this problem using same computer and AP 2.04 and nothing has been done to fix it. The tool bar does not align with the top of all of the other panels and you can't drag it any further up than shown below. Also each time you launch the app the tool bar is in a lower position than last used. I wouldn't think it would be a big problem to fix this but not being a coder I have to assume it is based on the time it has taken and it is still not fixed. This was never a problem with version 1. My Image is on Monitor 2 (left) and the panels and tools on monitor 2 (right). I am not so concerned with the alignment but the shifting of the tool bar eventually end lower than the other panels blocking info below and I am assuming they are somehow related. If this could be addressed some time soon I would appreciate it. Not dealing with it just looks like you dismiss customer issues especially after the great job Nash did in getting so many other problems fixed in such a short time to release 2.1. Any chance this can be fixed? Not a critical matter more annoying but it does take time to realign it as high as it will go. Waste of time in the work flow. Thanks in advance. walt.farrell
Just curious about something. You don't have the Context Toolbar showing. Is that on the monitor with your image, or turned off completely? Do things align properly if you have it showing? Or if you put the Tools panel on the same monitor as the Context Toolbar? spiderpod7d
Hi Walt The context tool bar is on the image monitor and yes it is open I suspect the issue is only present with a two monitor setup

The Toolbar is fundamentally different from the Panels. You can see a "Shadow" on it and there is an odd ability to sort of snap the Toolbar to the edges of the Panes, but not snap the Panels to the edge of the Toolbar. spiderpod7d
Hi Bruce yes you are correct. Spoke to Nathan about this in Dec 2022 and again in Feb 2023 at which time he identified it as a bug. Heard he or seen nothing since.

If it's been reported as a bug, and acknowledged as one, before then it doesn't need a new topic. Serif have said that we should simply continue in the original topic. spiderpod7d
Hi Callum I believe I discussed this issue with email. I will send a copy of both the Dec and Feb email replies from Nathan? to the general team address addressed to you. If that works
