Hello. I am designing a layout which is text heavy. I created page masters in my Publisher document. Text imports into columns fine but lines of type are unnaturally spaced apart. Headline type is 14pt. I want a 17pt leading. 16point is fine. As soon as I choose 17, the lines of type become spaced a half inch apart. I have checked my paragraph settings and they are set to 0. I have no idea why this is happening. Please explain. Thank you.

That sounds like you might have a Baseline Grid active, @ddamico361

This finally solved my problem. I was getting a different default leading with the art text tool vs. the frame text tool. Once I finally found the baseline grid and found that it was activated that fixed it.
