  1. Choose the golf background layer
  2. selection from layer
  3. feather selection by 2px
  4. Shrink selection -1px
  5. add mask (to golf cart layer).
  6. this will cut off the excess white.
  7. for further fine tuning, use the erase brush on the mask with 80% hardness to clean-up remaining white areas.

There are several ways to add a Layer Mask. At the bottom of the Layers Panel there’s a Mask Layer icon — click it to add a mask. (Sorry I’m not at my computer to take a screenshot.)
