JPLM Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 I have had the Affinity Suite for a few years now, and I recently updated to v2.10. I started having activation issues with Photo 2.10, then after restarting my desktop it worked fine. Now, I get the same problem with Designer v2.10and very simply I cannot open it. The Activation pop up menu opens, I type my ID + password and I get what seems to be the usual message to come back later. Sometimes the menu closes after just a few seconds. I uninstalled v2.10 and went back to 2.00 and now it seems to be working fine. I checked my Firewall and Affinity Designer is fully authorized. I think this is not serious from our British friends. I dumped Adobe for Serif Affinity and I am not very happy when I cannot even open my application. Windows 11, GPU RTX3070, CPU Ryzen 9 5900x, 64 Gb Ram and tons of storage. Any idea how to find a solution??? Quote

Steve Bessler Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 Still trying to fix this issue. I have turned off all security, flushed dns and reinstalled. I still get stuck at "Please try again in a moment" I was really liking Affinity, but at this point I cannot use it. Quote

Did you try everything in the FAQ, including the Connectivity check? Steve Bessler Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 Yes I have checked all the connectivity instructions. Quote
JPLM Posted June 2, 2023 Author Posted June 2, 2023 I had the same problem. I even went back to v1. And one day, it worked fine. Don't ask me how and why. I don't know, I did a lot of trials, but I'm back at V2 and it is OK. I believe that the developers feel (or are...)obliged to bring a new version every year and doing so they bring a bunch of bugs. I have seen it with several apps. So, don't lose hope...one day ...it will work Quote
