Affinity Photo- Wacom Tablet input issue

In affinity photo, windows 11. When the window is already open and then Wacom tablet is connected, then the application does not register pen input on the toolbars and buttons but works fine on the canvas. This also happens when the computer is went to sleep or locked then reopened with app open with tablet being working before sleep/ lock, but not after reopening.

What is the model name of the Wacom tablet?
Are the Wacom drivers up to date? Is the Wacom tablet connected via USB cable or Bluetooth?

I also have a Wacom tablet, but I cannot confirm the error pattern.

Search for power options in Windows. Click on Change advanced power settings. Search there for USB settings. The option for selective power saving should be disabled.
