Affinity Designer - FX color overlay on ipad not working on my vector png. Help!

Hi there. I’m currently trying to apply an FX color overlay to a vector PNG and it’s not working. I can’t help but think it’s because the top left panel color/swatch options I’ve seen in other videos does not pop up on my screen like they do yours. I’m working with the latest version so what am I not clicking for this to apply?

IM_1189 is what I found on YouTube. The other two images are my own.

Thanks for your screenshots provided!

Currently you have enabled the Colour Overlay FX, but you have not selected this within the Layer FX studio - meaning the default settings for the FX are currently being applied.

If you tap the words 'Colour Overlay' to the left of the FX tickbox, you should find the options appear as expected.
