Sarasota Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 I'd really love the ability to grab anywhere on the bounding box of an object to make adjustments without having to zoom in & out every time to access "handles" (similar to how the new 2.0 crop tool works). Sure, I can beg & say please a million times, but I'll lay out one possible future if you choose to add this feature (anything is possible - lmao, #NoZoomForHandles). ---- In 2025, a large-scale public works project will construct the world's largest laser projector to display the Affinity Logo on the moon!!! In 2030, Ann Marie Rippleton (head engineer for Project Moonlight) revisits a long term endeavor (the R&D of Transport Teleportation). Ann frequently used Affinity products during the design phase to visualize her theories but found constant zooming in & out to grab handles a repetitive exercise, which ultimately led to frustration and shelving of the project. However... In an alternative future, a feature update allows her to grab anywhere on the bounding box. Ann restarts R&D and accelerates the development time table. That's right, in 2035 Humanity will be introduced to the Transporter! Many others were inspired by her success and this set into motion the rapid expansion of technology in every field on a level beyond comprehension... In 2037 an orbiting LST (Large Scale Transporter) is ready to receive its first upload which kicks off "Project Sky Hook", the construction of a 25km wide space station. In 2048 the station went fully operational and began receiving its first occupants. In 2051 "Project DBU" begins (secret for Don't Blow Up) with the goal of creating an armada of galactic cruisers to traverse the universe in search of another planet. 2052 was a bad year when a test craft with 4 occupants was accidentally launched through the planet Jupiter - It was reported the craft was lost and "the velocity at which they hit the Planet meant they didn't feel a thing ". Unfortunately, one of the occupants was Ann Marie Rippleton... Many parades were held in her honor and a global year of morning was implemented... Iii-tttt was a very, very, very sad time for everyone... sniff. In 2056 the Galactic Armada is launched, the world celebrates, and with a large flashy whooommmmph the fleet and its 14.7 million passengers zip off to the stars... In 2056+15sec, the fleet arrives at its destination and scout ships head down to the Planet. The backdoor drops and all of the Affinity Staff & Fam walk to the edge of the ramp. In the blink on an eye, all of them take a step forward placing humans first feet on alien soil. The lead developers group hold a large flag with the giant letter "A" and yes, they named the new world "Planet Affinity". A memorial was built for Ann Marie Rippleton and the many others lost pursuing a dream beyond logical vision. The end. ---- I need serious backup here and not the same "100%" "ditto" "bump" - Luv to see image concepts of what such a place would look like (space station, planet affinity, etc -- hmmm... Affinity / Adobe Starwars thing???). Anyway, enough silliness - I hope this suggestion gains some traction and makes it into a future update (would be greatly appreciated) -Cheers. Callum 1 Quote

It still pains me when I think about it, at least they took care of her Family - sniff Side Note: After the great Alfalfa crash of 2054 on Earth, Affinity cornered the market when they converted half of Planet Affinity for Agro production. Some of the profits were used In 2055 to construct the Ann Marie Rippleton University of Art & Design offering free scholarships to anyone wanting to attend. Yea, Affinity made bank with the Alfalfa and the final quarter showed a profit of 11.8 trillion - So... The University overhead isn't a big deal. Quote
