Currently you can copy items and paste them into other apps. Super useful! Much faster than exporting, going to the other app, navigating the explorer, importing the image, etc.

However, the user has no control over the settings for these copied items. We do have 'copy as SVG' so far.

Take a look at the specs of a copied item:

I'd love to set copied images to be 50% resolution, 70% quality JPEG, for example. If I am pasting a lot of items into a powerpoint file, for instance, this would save a ton of filesize.

An interesting quirk reg. copied images - if you copy an image and paste it into Excel, it will paste an .EMF file with layers (Despite 'copy as SVG' being disabled)! And despite the clipboard saying I have a PNG copied đŸ¤”. So it seems that copy and paste will either paste a flat image, or pipe layered data directly from Affinity apps. I dislike that I have no understanding or control of paste format.

I think the mentioned feature would be appreciated to give more clarity and control over how copy/paste works with third party apps.
