Affinity Photo export format issue

Just as the version 2.1 update  was released my machine broke and I am working with Affinity Photo in a new version, under [to me] a new OS (Windows 11) on new hardware, and I have a new behavior that I need to fix.

Export only offers a PNG format. No other format is offered. Is this fixable, and if so, please,  how?

Yep, that's the dropdown that doesn't have all the options.

You need to switch from PNG to PDF in the top-most field wich simply says „PNG“. Not in the field below which is named „preset“

Grrrrr. Change one little number in the PS name I go blind. And feel the fool.

Thanks for not pointing out how obvious my error is. I think I'll go read a primary grade reader for a while and try to get over it. Maybe a comic book is my speed. I really do feel the dunce.

It isn't just you but some others have had the same experience.
It's been requested to make the dropdown a bit more clearer though.

It isn't very obvious that the topmost field is a dropdown menu since the only indicator that it is is the small "v" next to the currently selected export format.

So it has been suggested that like the other dropdown menus in the dialog that it be preceded by a name & colon, so something like "Format:" on the left, like for size, preset, & so on.
