Looking for the right tool to selection a rectangle shape and put paint in it. V1

Hi !

I'm on Affinity photo V1, I'm looking for a tool to select this black rectangle shape and put some paint in (that I know how to do it), i did it first in Lightroom but now it should be properly done/finish in Affinity Photo v1.

My problem is it's not a straight one and I need to do it properly, i just dont find which tool is the good one.

Use the pen tool to create a curve around the black shape and fill it, you can leave it like that or you can use the curve to make a selection by ctrl clicking on the curve layer, or use can use anyone of the selection tools.
