Using Publisher 1.10.6. This has been nagging me … When exporting for highest PDF CMYK print quality, InDesign has the “convert to destination - Do not change numbers” option: linked images that are already in CMYK are not coverted (again). Affinity Publisher does not give this option. What is best? a) link the orginally-RGB images and rely on the pdf export (with the desired global profile) to do the conversion or b) link images that have already been converted to CMYK with Affinity photo (with the the Document / Convert format / ICC profile function), desired profile and rely on the pdf export with the same desired overall profile) not to touch them. I am completing a book with avec 200 photos and have used a combination of a) and b). Is this OL?Thank you for your advice.

Firstly, you have posted in the "Affinity on iPad Questions" section of the forums, however Publisher v1.10.6 did not support iPad.
Can you please confirm, are you running Publisher 1.10.6 on Windows/macOS, or V2.1.0 on iPad?

This will usually depend on the printers preferred PDF format and settings, so I would recommend checking with them before proceeding, however I can confirm the following:

If you use method 'a', then when exporting you can enable Convert Image Colour Spaces under the More section of the export dialog, which will convert the RGB images to CMYK, using the export profile selected in this same dialog (your document working profile, by default).

If you use method 'b', then you should not need to enable this option - but please ensure that your placed images/documents are using the same CMYK colour profile as the 'master' document to ensure that the colour values remain consistent.

I hope this helps :)
