Vector Flood Tool and Shape Builder tool

Is there a difference between these tools? I have watched the official Affinity video on the new VFTool and it just looks so similar to what the Shape Builder tool does.

The Vector Flood Fill Tool is just for easy recoloring segments, the other one is to make easy boolean operations with segments. That's at least how I understand it.

The Vector Flood Fill Tool allows you to flood fill areas surrounded by discrete lines and/or shapes, without the need to join or add the surrounding areas together.
