Welcome to the forums @Move37,

Oddly it is missing from Photo, only in Publisher and Designer. And there it is more like "zoom to the selected layer(s)"

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Designer does have a 'Zoom to selection' that DOES NOT zoom into exactly the selected area, but rather does exactly the same as zoom to fit.

Are you sure about that? Try this in AD V2:

  1. Draw a rectangle or whatever on the document, small enough that it does not cover the whole document.
  2. Select it
  3. Do a Zoom to Selection.
  4. Now do a Zoom to Fit

Are the results the same for you? They are not for me.

Same for me, on Windows. In fact you get different results for not only those two, but also for Zoom to Width
