Congratulations on the 2.1 update Release Notes

It's extremely well done with good examples.

Sidenote: Can anyone link a tutorial to do this with artboards? I'm a noob at Designer and Pulisher and can't even think of what to search for.

Unfortunately, your link just goes to the general description of all the enhancements. What, exactly, are you trying to do?

(By the way, it is probably better to start your own topic in the Questions section, than to have the discussion here. You'll probably get more/better responses.)

The link has an anchor but I see it doesn't play nice with where it scrolls to. I have an example below:

Those are, as the description there in your screenshot already tells, from APh taken over perspective and mesh warp live filters to ADe. - So these are in PixelPersona and will rasterize any data to pixels, aka won't keep any vectors here.

In order to get an idea how these work in ADe you can Google also after appropriate APh tutorials for these live filters. - Just two quick sample tuts here ...

... and corresponding ADe 2 online help entries ...

For ADe 2 in order to keep things as vectors here, one would use instead the Vector Warp feature, see therefor ...

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.6 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.6 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.6 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2 apps still not installed and thus momentary not in use under MacOS

However, when considering using them with Artboards, I would be surprised if there aren't some bugs discovered. It seems that pixel layers and things applied to pixel layers (adjustments, etc.) often have some surprising interactions when Artboards are involved.

So, I would first experiment with them without Artboards, and only once you understand the basic functions, perhaps play with them on Artboards once you understand how they are supposed to work. That way, if there are unexpected interactions with Artboards, you may recognize that rather than thinking you're using them incorrectly :)
