Hi

Have just updated to 2.1.0 & now when I crop an image, I still see a white line on the image showing the area I cropped, but still showing the whole image - turns out that this goes to full cropped image after developing. If I then click the develop button, I get the cropped, not full image. Confusing. Don't think I like this change

It's a bug, not a change

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Try clicking the View Tool (or another tool) after resizing the crop, on screen, as that sets it for me in the Develop persona and crops correctly

Nothing works for me. I've tried selecting all sorts of different tools as I had a similar (but different) problem with the crop tool when the programme first came out. This time, the only thing that works for me is to develop & then go back to Develop persona. It's a bit frustrating, but kind of works. Hopefully a patch will come out soon

Thanks

Next problem - didn't know whether to start a new thread or not - inpainting tool not working. Makes something appear less bold, but still there. Went to V1 to do what I wanted to do. Where do we report bugs?

Report in a new thread

But make sure it's a bug if reporting in the bugs forum(s)

Sound like you may have less than 100% opacity or something else

Hi @DebSki,

Thanks for your report!

I can confirm this is a bug which has been identified and logged with our development team, we hope this will be resolved shortly.

I can also confirm that the Inpainting tool is working as expected for me - though from your description (and as Carl mentioned above) it sounds as though your Opacity for the tool on the Context Toolbar may be below 100%.

If you find you are still experiencing an issue after checking the tools Opacity, please create a new thread (preferably with a screen recording showing the issue) and our team will be sure to assist ASAP :)

The issue "Cropping in the develop persona does not visually apply crop" (REF: AFP-6183) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.1.1847".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
