Open raw files on v 2.1.0

hi everyone 

When I open a raw files, I do not have the features of raw development. And if I choose develop after treatment, exif data are not included.

Can you share a file where this happens, and a screenshot of the application just after you Open the file?

Thanks. That file opens into the Develop Persona for me using Photo 2.1 on my iPad.

How did you open it? It's best to use Open from the application Home Screen. If you're not doing that, ca you show a video of the process, perhaps?

Also, if you are using Open from the Photo 2 Home Screen, please make sure you're getting a RAW file. Displaying the file info from the Files dialog is useful for that.

I think there is an issue, Affinity photo 2 does not open the raw file, it take the copy on iPad photo browser. 
i test in downloading the file I upload on this platform and affinity photo open the raw file in the right way.

I think before 2.1 Affinity photo upload raw file from iCloud and not the copy on iPad photo.

I have several raw files saved in photo library and they open in raw edit mode. If you have files saved on iCloud you may only have jpg on iPad (space saving). Try downloading the raw file from cloud first

Yes Dm1, but before 2.1, Affinity photo upload the right raw file, it does not work for me and I do not change the parameter about photo file storage. 
i think it is an issue that Affinity have to release in a next version.

and it is impossible to download a raw file from iCloud if you use only one iPad.

I put your RAW image into my Photos library, @Pbernardon, so now I have a copy in my iPad Downloads folder, and in Photos, where it shows as RAW.

It does not matter whether I use Open > Open Document or Open > Import from Photos. Both open into the Develop Persona in Photo 2.1, for me.

Hi @walt.farrell Many thanks for your answer. I do not understand why it does not work now since I upgrade v2.1. Before this upgrade open works from photo library. 
 

I have deleted affinity photo from my iPad and reload it and it always the same issue. I have looked to my photo storage parameters. I did not change it. It is set to improve space on my iPad. 
 

I try to download a raw file from iCloud directly, but on a iPad it is not possible. You have to use a Mac to download in original format.

I think Affinity has to release this issue.

As far as I know, this was not changed from the 2.0 behavior in 2.1, but someone from Serif may have additional info about that.

It was working fine this morning and the only difference has been the 2.1 update. Raw/jpg tab still shows in photos but Serif will only open the jpg into the photo persona where before it always automatically opened the raw file straight into the develop persona.

Thanks. I wonder why my 2.1.0 works on IPadOS 16.4.1(a) and yours doesn't.

Will be fun for Serif to debug, I bet.
