Intuos5 Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 When I move a symbol inside an elliptical frame, a constraints group is added. The symbol then also changes its position as a result. 2023-05-18 15-01-52.mp4 Any idea why this is happening? It's really annoying having to do the placement twice. The constraints group also has a tendency to clip the symbol if it moves outside its range: 2023-05-18 15-04-29.mp4 genki 1 Quote
Dan C Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 Hi @Intuos5, Thanks for your report! 3 hours ago, Intuos5 said: Any idea why this is happening? As far as I can tell, there is no reason this Symbol should become a constraints group (and consequently become detached) when adding to a Picture Frame object, simply it appears to be an oversight when these 2 layer types are interacting. I will be logging this as a bug with our developers now, as I've been able to replicate with both regular and elliptical Picture Frames. I hope this helps Quote
Intuos5 Posted May 18, 2023 Author Posted May 18, 2023 Allright, thanks for logging this @Dan C wasn't sure it was a bug with this one Dan C 1 Quote
Intuos5 Posted May 18, 2023 Author Posted May 18, 2023 @Dan C did you also list that if you move the symbol out of the constraints group, it ceases to be a symbol? E: This is really inconsistent, it sometimes already ceases to be a symbol. genki 1 Quote
Dan C Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 Thanks for the further information - I had included in my report that when adding the Symbol to the Picture Frame it was instantly detached as a Symbol object, though I will update this to include that on the occasions where the symbol is retained initially, it is then lost when dragging the Symbol from this created Constraints Group Quote
