First, thank you for a really wonderful program. Easy to use, professional output and it blows InDesign out of the water.

But I have an issue that has reared its head. I've published an illustrated script on Amazon and have had to make a few changes. It's around 214 pages or so with hundreds of images. The last few times, when I've opened up the document, the format has changed. As you can tell from the included image, you notice a white background on some of the test at the top of the page. It wasn't there before. I've had to correct this on a number of occasions. And notice the spacing between the dialogue and the description. The document has added space, and it's happened on multiple pages. Every thing is out of alignment.

Bottom line, I've made multiple changes to this document, going through the 200 plus pages to basically repaginate the text and remove things, such as the white spaces that weren't there before. I've also had to relink images on multiple occasions even though they are still in the same folders.

It's gotten to be so enervating I'm almost at the point of deciding not to publish this bit of work that has taken about two years. Help if you can.

Thank you,

Ron Capito

Are you starting from the original document (and what format is it)? Or are you working on the document as published on Amazon (presumably a PDF)?

Hi Walt,

I created the doc in Affinity publisher, upload PDF to Amazon. When I go back and open the Affinity Publisher file, that's when it gets funky. This is the only doc that seems to do this. So yes, I keep modifying and correcting the original doc.

Thanks for responding.

Hi Ron, if possible could you provide a copy of the Affinity project file in question? You should be able to upload it to the following DropBox link. I understand Walts already asked this but just to confirm are you opening the original .afpub or have you re imported the PDF and then saved it back to .afpub? As I wouldn't expect to see this issue when just re opening the original publisher project file.
