I have a file that i cannot figure out what is keeping it from exporting.  So far I've looked through the forums and tried changing the dpi in case it was too large (was originally 600dpi, changed to 300), I've rasterized all groups and layers to see if it had to do with that.  I do not see any description of the error beyond "unable to export" or something to that effect.  No details so I have no idea.  I can attach the file but it has some nudity (warning, bare breasts).  Please help!

I wonder if the problem could be the location you are trying to save to, rather than the file itself. Try saving it to your desktop.

It seems this file was created with the 2.1.x beta of AD -- if I try to open it in v2.0.4 I get the 'unsupported features, can't open' warning. If that is correct, please include that info in your posts (& maybe post to the appropriate beta section).

Anyway, I did not have any problems exporting using beta version 2.1.0.1769 on my Mac but I have not tried it with the newer beta which I am installing now.

EDIT: Just installed 2.1.0.1790 & using it also exports to PDF fine.

What export settings are you using?

OMG, I'm an idiot!. I was exporting to PDF, not PSD!

I'll have to retest to see what I get when trying PSD....

I am pretty sure it's not the save location as just to test i went into one of the other files i had created in designer and exported to psd.  Actually have been doing that awhile now with many files back and forth between clip studio and affinity.   i'll try that just in case though.

Initially i just used whatever was default -  I think "preserve accuracy" was what it was set at and bicubic?  I'll paste a screenshot of the settings

Please just post the screenshot directly to the topic because many of us, myself included, are leery about opening an unknown URL.

Anyway, I just tried exporting to PSD & got an 'unknown error' warning, so the export settings probably don't matter, & it is likely this is a bug in this beta which should be discussed in the beta section, not here, whether or not it also applies to the current 2.0.4 version.

but i'm really baffled as to why you're able to do it and i can't.

Please see my edit above -- I was exporting to the wrong format. Sorry about that.

Thanks for looking into it.  I did manage to figure it out, but I am not sure why.  I created one of the layers with a block of color and lettering.  for whatever reason, I noticed it just seemed weird, couldn't scale it or anything.  Taking a wild stab at it, i deleted the offending layer and it exported fine.

also related to the beta, I didn't see any beta forums readily apparent but I'll look again.

Thanks again
