Gaps in Pattern Layer

Why am I getting a small gap between sections when using the "Pattern Layer from Selection" option in Affinity Photo?

It does appear both horizontally and vertically.

Is there a way to correct it?

Mac OS 12.6.5, Affinity Photo vs. 2.0.4

Hi @Kim Diane and welcome to the forums,

As @Pšenda mentions, your artwork needs to be 'pixel perfect' both in terms of the pattern itself and the placement on the canvas both of which need to use integer pixel values to avoid the issue you're seeing...

Hopefully the video will explain but basically your pattern needs to be created using whole pixel values, e.g., 500 px x 500 px rather than say 499.247 px x 499.247 px and likewise the pattern needs to be placed on the canvas at whole pixel values, e.g., 0 px x 0 px rather than 0.154 px x 0.154 px...
