Good day,

We've recently moved from Adobe to Affinity V2 and are hitting an issue with missing images (it shows red question marks) when opening IDML files.

Some of the missing images are links that aren't available but others are embedded and I think I've isolated it to those containing EPSImage data but I'm not sure what that is.

The document has been reduced to one of the missing images (and attached) – Publisher shows this:image.png.d051ff13ad273119b57acbeaa64e7d1b.png where InDesign (loading the IDML file) shows this: image.png.19507252eccd15bbb02bc5c8f3a68d4e.png

I see a couple of EPS-relates issues have been fixed in the 2.1 beta, but I tried 2.1.0 (1790) with the same result.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Regards,

Chris

Hi and welcome to the foum.

EPS and other Adobe file formats created with an Adobe application may have effects and other settings that are stored in a proprietary data area of the file that is not accessible to third-party applications.

This is intentional on Adobe's part to maintain their unique selling point.
