Noah 79585 Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Hi, when working with large images (example file in the screen recording is 15000 x 10000 px), the grown / shrunk selection is correctly previewed when adjusting the slider but leads to incorrect results when applying the radius. NotMyFault Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Thank you. I tested on iPad (no access to my Mac right now), there i can‘t reproduce. It may help if you add you OS / Mac specifications. Noah 79585 Posted May 2, 2023 Author Posted May 2, 2023 I'm running macOS Monterey on a MacBook Air M1 from 2020. Unfortunately I don't have another device where I could try reproducing it. Quote
Staff NathanC Posted May 3, 2023 Staff Posted May 3, 2023 Hi @Noah 79585, I've not been able to replicate this on a Ventura or Monterey Mac so far with your file, the preview and application of the selection growth is the same, as expected. I'll also try this on an M1 mac in case that is a factor. Is this something you're able to consistently replicate with different files/active selections? Is there a specific way that the selection area needs to be created originally for this to trigger, other than just the pixel dimensions of the canvas? Quote
Noah 79585 Posted May 3, 2023 Author Posted May 3, 2023 Hi @NathanC, I ran into this issue several times before posting here and as far as I know the pixel dimensions were the only thing the files had in common. The selections varied in size, complexity and creation method (magnet and polygon). I usually had this issue with files larger than ~10000 px. Quote
Noah 79585 Posted May 16, 2023 Author Posted May 16, 2023 Did you have the chance to try replicating the issue on an M1 mac @NathanC? Or you, @NotMyFault, on your mac? I would just like to know if I'm the only one running into this issue. Quote
Staff NathanC Posted May 18, 2023 Staff Posted May 18, 2023 Hi @Noah 79585, No luck on the M1 Mac I'm afraid, grow/shrink selection on your document worked as expected, have you tried this after updating your app to 2.1 and then trying this again? Quote
Noah 79585 Posted May 20, 2023 Author Posted May 20, 2023 Thanks for the reply, @NathanC. Just updated to 2.1 and the issue seems to have disappeared! This is great news for when I have to work with large files. Quote
