MikeTO Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 https://affinity.help/publisher2/English.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Text/frameText.html?title=Frame text This help page could use a review. The screenshot of a text frame shows v1 size handles instead of v2. The screenshot is missing the frame link and content scaling icons. There is no explanation of scaling the text in the frame by dragging the content scaling icon. The hollow red triangle icon shown should be a solid red triangle. The solid red circle icon shown should be a hollow red circle. The "Story" certainly has overflowing text, but this frame is not necessarily "linked to a frame that has overflowing text". The "Story" certainly has overflowing text, but this frame is not necessarily "linked to a frame that has overflowing text". Is the frame linked or unlinked? It's different if it's linked. It's a little odd as I'll show below because now that you point this out I notice that the table is actually missing one of the icons, too. Here's what it is now: Icon Description The frame is unlinked. The frame is linked. The frame is linked to a frame that has overflowing text. There is hidden overflowing text in the frame. The overflowing text in the frame is visible. The text in the deselected text frame is overflowing. And here's what it should be - the three bolded rows are new or changed. Icon Description The frame is unlinked. The frame is linked. The frame has overflowing text. The frame is linked to a frame that has overflowing text. There is hidden overflowing text in the frame. The overflowing text in the frame is visible. The text in the deselected text frame is overflowing. Here's how it looks on macOS. I didn't bother showing the 2 'eye' icons because those are working as expected. Unlinked frame, no overset text - both triangles are hollow blue Unlinked frame, overset text - both triangles are hollow red Unlinked frame, overset text, deselected - both circles are hollow Linked frame, no overset text - the triangle is solid blue in the direction(s) of the link Linked frame, overset text - the triangle is solid red except for the 'previous' icon in the first frame and the 'next' icon in the last frame - this doesn't make much sense to me. I'm showing 3 examples so you can see the first, middle, and last frames selected. Linked frame, overset text, deselected - all circles are hollow walt.farrell 1 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.5 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.5 for macOS Sequoia 15.2, MacBook Pro 14" (M4 Pro)
