Hello All,

I have a PDF file that isn't setup in a 'Facing' format. Each individual page sits on top of one another. I have setup 2 master pages within Publisher to automate the page numbering. My problem is that I setup the master pages as 'Facing' with the intent of having every page number showing up on the outer border of each respective page, but everything is showing up only on the left side of the pages within this PDF file.

Is there a way to work with this PDF file so that the page numbers will place properly on each page once it's printed out into a book?

Also - The first master page holds my page numbers and the second contains the other characters that I want to accompany the page numbers. Is there a way to combine these 2 types of master pages together into one?

Here's a link to a short video that I just recorded that demonstrates what I'm trying to achieve - just in case I didn't present my question clear enough.

Thanks!!

WB

PS - I'm working in Beta 2.1

Can you not use Publisher to Open the PDF, and then convert it to Facing Pages using the Document Setup? Save it using Save As... then do some work making some Master Pages.

Aside: I too am a fan of that Will Trent show.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Try this, from the retail version of Publisher 2. It will open in the beta.

That worked perfectly for me @Old Bruce!! My numbering conundrum is in the past now.

As far as converting a PDF outside of Publisher, I'm at a loss. Tried within the file itself and a couple of online programs but no luck yet. Would you have any suggestions for me?

Hi Wayne,

In regards to converting the PDF what is it you are trying to convert sorry? If you are referring to your previous question of combing two master pages the easiest way to do this would be copying the contents of one master page to the other.

Thanks
