Affinity Designer v2 for iPad Object Fill not working

Hi all,

I have recently run into an issue where I create an object (i.e. an ellipse) and when I try to fill that object with a color, it doesn’t work. I’ve tried closing the program, and reopening. Sometimes, I get the ability to use a fill again, but it’s only short-lived. My next option is to reinstall but I wanted to check here first to see if anyone has run into this.

Hi @sdigital welcome to the forums,

If you're applying the fill colour to the object via the colour panel have you checked that you are changing the fill colour well/spot and not the stroke colour well/spot within the colour panel? The Currently active colour you're changing will show in front of the other.

If it's not the above and you are changing the fill colour spot, could you possibly provide us with a screen recording which demonstrate the issue when you're trying to change the fill colour on an object? I have provided a brief guide below which details how to screen record on iPad.

Thanks, Nathan. I’ll add a screen recording below. Definitely selecting the fill from color picker. I’ve since signed up for the beta program and I’m having less issues with fills. Hope this gets addressed soon.

Not seeing that behaviour on my iPad Pro.

If you have already done a Forced Restart then the next step is to save all your work into an iCloud folder, delete the app and re-install.
