pcote Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Hi!Coming from Figma and Sketch, I need to have my Symbols organized. After creating more than 30 Symbols, it really is a mess to find the one you need since it is ordered in order of creation, rather than alphabetically. Could you please organize the Symbols alphabetically by default, please? Thank you very much! Iltirtar 1 Quote

For me, any possibility of organizing and sorting symbols would be more valuable, even alphabetically, but they may not meet my needs - frequency of use and therefore the easiest possible access, mutual context of the symbols, so I need to have them together (it is possible to bypass the name prefix, but it is less convenient than changing the order of symbols at will, or their visual organization into certain groups). Iltirtar Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I see this topic is two years old already and didn't get much attention, so I guess the feature is not exactly high priority. Nevertheless, a way of sorting and organizing Symbols is completely necessary. Being stuck with creation order not only feels like going back to the 80s, but is very amateurish and makes projects a mess very soon. Pšenda 1 Quote

Symbols are so powerful and useful (except for the incomprehensible bug that they can't be turned off locally, which requires encapsulation into groups) that it's unbelievable that their management has remained so sloppy and unfinished. Such a shame (although I understand - the worse flaws and missing features of the applications have to be fixed first).
