LightCreator Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 For Photo, Designer, & Publisher I am getting an update available alert, but when I click download, it runs a quick progress bar and disappears. After awhile I restart the program but it still says I am on version 2.0.0. I have tried doing this and also restarting, I'm not sure what I actually need to do to get these windows versions to update. Quote
MikeTO Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 I assume you installed Affinity from the Serif website or the apps would have updated automatically through the App Store by now. If the update process isn't working you can download the updates manually. Sign in to the Serif store (store.serif.com), click your profile icon in the upper right corner, and then click Downloads & Product Keys. walt.farrell Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 I'm not sure what's going on, @LightCreator, and I'm a bit confused by your description. If you're running the MSIX version of the V2 applications, you should have an Install button, not a Download button. And when you click Install you would get a progress bar. On the other hand, if you're running the EXE/MSI version of the V2 applications, you would have a Download button, but when you click it you would not get a progress bar. Instead, your web browser would open to the download page, where you would manually download the files you need, and manually install them. So before offering further advice, I'd like to have a clarification from you. The bar above says downloading, and it shows for about a second, then the whole box goes away. I also tried doing what Mike suggested, and tried to download and install the MSIX from the store, but when I try to run it, it says that sideloading is not permitted, even after allowing apps from anywhere in my settings. walt.farrell 1 Quote
