FamBarg Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 I've just purchased designer, have followed all instructions when downloading software. When it comes to opening the program, all I get is the initial affinity black square on the screen and then it closes down. I have tried both the msi and msix version and the same thing happens. I am using a HP Pavilion Notebook, Windows 10. Version 22H2 Can anyone help Quote

Hold down the Ctrl key while launching the app, and continue to hold it down until the ‘Clear User Data’ dialog appears. Only the first three checkboxes in the dialog will be checked by default, but since this is a new installation you’ll have no old settings to preserve, so you have nothing to lose by pressing the ‘Select All’ button before pressing ‘Clear’. This should allow Designer to start up in a usable state. Staff NathanC Posted April 21, 2023 Staff Posted April 21, 2023 Hi @FamBarg welcome to the forums, If you're still having issues with the app failing to launch after following the above, I would then suggest following the guidance in the FAQ below to launch the app with Hardware Acceleration disabled, the method is different dependant on which version (MSI or MSIX) you currently have installed.
