Hangman Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Not a particularly big issue but thought it was worth mentioning... Note: this applies to all version of Affinity Software in all three apps... In a block of text, or even a single line of text, if the cursor is placed in the left side bearing of the first character of the first line of said text, kerning is applied between the first and second characters of the text when kerning controls are used either via the character panel or the respective keyboard shortcuts, which is obviously incorrect, i.e., kerning should only be applied to the first two characters when the cursor appears between the first and second characters... This doesn't happen in either subsequent lines of text or paragraphs. Staff Affinity Info Bot Posted June 22, 2023 Staff Posted June 22, 2023 The issue "It is possible to apply kerning before the first letter of a frame, which then applies it after the letter" (REF: AFB-7654) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.2.0.1857". This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release. Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions. If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us. Quote
