Linear artefacts created after editing & saving - not on edited photo in Affinity

Hi, I saved two versions and both had artefacts - see the second photo below for the artefacts.  The first photo is a screen grab of the finished edited photo still remaining in Affinity photo editor.

I'm at a loss!

Welcome to Affinity Forums
I'm assuming you are using Windows OS. Can you confirm please?
Go to Affinity Photo preferences (Edit menu), Performance section and disable Hardware Acceleration then restart the app nand try to export again. Does it fixes the issue?
