Hello,

I use Affinity Designer 2 for Windows 10. Version of the Affinity Designer is 2.0.4. I experience the freezing of the application. Sometimes it will freeze after some minutes of a usage, sometimes i can use the application for a half a day. When I kill the application - and run it again - it will always start and immediately freeze. There is no remedy to fix the issue other than restating the computer. Then I can run the application again.

I have turned off the hardware acceleration - I read it causes these issues.

Very strange is that even when I kill the process - i am not able to start the application again. It means, that some other processes are frozen and I dont know which one to kill to make it run again. Really strange. Uploading also the screenshot from the performace settings.

Hi @Viliam Machyniak,

Can you just try starting Affinity while holding down the Control key and you'll get prompted if you'd like to clear some setting, 3 options will be ticked and you can just click on Clear.  Now try using the app and see if you get a freeze.

Also it might be worth just installing the beta of Designer and seeing if you get any freezes with that.  You can sign up for the beta via here

Hi,

I tested it several times, when the app is freezening. Cleared the when holding the Control key - but it have not helped. As soon as the app will freeze - the only one think that will help is the computer restart.

I also downloaded the beta version and install it - the result is the same - as soon as some affinity product (standard or beta freeze) - it is not possible to run any other program :(
