skee Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 (edited) I have a logo made by a set of curves as objects and aroud it all there is an outline. For a print job I need now a separate path as a cutting contour around the outline. My first approach was to copy the outline and the base form, add them to each other and create a new contour, but now I need to transform a contour into a simple path. How can I do it? I don't want to draw the cutting contour manually. Edited April 17, 2023 by skee Quote
Staff NathanC Posted April 17, 2023 Staff Posted April 17, 2023 Hi @skee welcome to the forums, If I have understood correctly, if you're using the contour tool to offset your outline you should be able to change the contoured object to a regular curve again using 'Bake Appearance' along the context toolbar with the curve and contour tool selected, allowing you to manipulate the nodes of the curve as normal. https://affinity.help/designer2/English.lproj/pages/Tools/tools_contour.html If this isn't what you're looking for could you perhaps provide screenshots/a sample file that we could take a look at?
