I have a logo made by a set of curves as objects and aroud it all there is an outline. For a print job I need now a separate path as a cutting contour around the outline. My first approach was to copy the outline and the base form, add them to each other and create a new contour, but now I need to transform a contour into a simple path. How can I do it? I don't want to draw the cutting contour manually.

Hi @skee welcome to the forums,

If I have understood correctly, if you're using the contour tool to offset your outline you should be able to change the contoured object to a regular curve again using 'Bake Appearance' along the context toolbar with the curve and contour tool selected, allowing you to manipulate the nodes of the curve as normal.

If this isn't what you're looking for could you perhaps provide screenshots/a sample file that we could take a look at?
