Select Picture not Frame

Hi, I have a stupid but Horrible Problem and cant find the Trick to solve it.

In Publisher 2 I work alot with Picture Frames. When I click on the Picture it used to first select the Frame and with the next click the Content (Picture). But suddenly its always selecting first the Content and I can only select the Frame by clicking exact on the Frame ore select it in the Layers Ares.

The same with Groups, ..

 

So, .. where is that Button to click on???

When you have the Move Tool active, and an object selected, there is a control in the Context Toolbar that controls how the tool operates:

If that option is turned off, then when you click on a container (Group, Picture Frame, etc.) the container is selected. If the option is on, the contents of the container are selected.

If you have a Picture Frame selected, that option may be off the right edge of the Context Toolbar, hidden behind the >> icon.

Note: If the option is turned off, you can still select the container contents by using Ctrl+Click (on Windows) or (perhaps) Cmd+Click (on Mac).

Cannot seem to select the contents of the picture frame by using Cmd+Click. Am I missing something?

It works for me. Ensure you're not Cmd+clicking on the 4-way arrow in the centre, that won't don't anything.

Perhaps you have Auto-select set to something other than Default? Also note that the "Allow selection to consider items inside a group" checkbox mentioned above has been replaced in 2.1. More info here:
