svikesyo Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 (edited) When I make a selection in Photo, then select "Toggle 'Edit Selection As Layer'" in the selection menu in order to edit the selection as a mask with the brush tool, I keep running into this problem even after restarting the app and restarting the iPad: when I select white it works fine, adding to the selected area, but when I select black (either from the color studio or from the context dependent brush tool menu on the top) it acts as if I have no tool. It doesn't do anything at all, certainly doesn't remove any of the selected area. I tried fiddling with the "Protect Alpha" to no avail... any insight? Edited April 12, 2023 by svikesyo typo Quote

NotMyFault Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 There is one possible cause: you may have changed the brush blend mode. while the brush tool is active, click on the brush thumbnail (between selection menu and alpha) check if the blend mode is set to normal. If not, set to normal, and close window.
