Need help in recreating this workflow on Affinity!

Hi, I'm working on merch design and I'm trying to recreate that kind of workflow where I separate midtones, shadows and highlight on Affinity. I know that AP doesn't have an artistic filter gallery like Ps, but I need some workaround to to that kind of stuff. Any suggestion? Thanks ❤️

I didn't watch the video but if I needed to split an image into S M & H I'd make 2 copies and use Blend Ranges on each, that way you have control over the cutoff points. There is Select/Tonal Range but I've never found that useful
