Hi all.

I'm trying to group some objects but grouping seems to add large border around the group. See the attached ungrouped and grouped images and the selection rectangle around them. Using AD v2 in Win11. AD file attached also.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

This is how Affinity deals with it. When you select the individual layers, and cycle the bounding box, it shows either the smallest possible rectangle, or a rectangle based on how the object was created by rotation. The group by default shows the surrounding box, using the larger surround boxes of the group members.

You get get rid of those by using geometry/add on every individual layer, before grouping. This will remove the information form „transform origin“ and rotation or those layers.
